Mike Test Event

Our speaker on Tuesday is a member from the local detachment of the RCMP together with a ‘civil servant’ (my accent) who will give us a talk on ‘scams’ – how to identify them and how to avoid them.  Hopefully also, what to do if we discover we have been a victim.  All of us grew up in an age of relative innocence and for many of us, it never occured to us that scammers could use our phones, our laptops or our identity to empty our bank account.

It is our intention to alert our members on an ongoing basis to the latest ways that criminals are attempting to take our money or our identity in a way that harms us.  With the looming advent of artificial intelligence this problem can only get worse.
